Question

Anonymous asked: Hey! I'm really glad you made this tumblr, I smiled really hard when I saw the meme Also this is relevant, it's a legitimate test that scores the kind and severity of synesthesia that you have. and you can click an option that lets a researcher analyze the data if you want, too. synesthete[.]org C:

I realise it’s been ages, I’ve just been very distracted. Sorry!

I have a bunch of different forms of synaesthesia, but most of them aren’t very ‘complete’. That is, I won’t have a synaesthetic experience for every possible letter/word/sound/other kind of input.

Probably most widespread is personification, including object personification, ordinal linguistic personification, and personifying sights, sounds, and textures.

I also experience…

pain—>colour

emotion—>colour

personality—>colour

taste—>colour

smell—>colour

concept—>spatial orientation

personality—>spatial orientation

I don’t usually like tests like that because they often don’t include most of the kinds of synaesthesia I have, but I’ll check it out when I have time!

The yellow itself smells a bit wonky, but when paired with that sour-apple green, it ends up smelling a bit like sour version of Sprite soda. Not bad. 83

Mod: Awesome! I hope it’s not something ghastly for anyone, I’ve seen memes that felt like mud before. =(
